The ONNPA© is copyright protected to ensure its open access for clinical use. The ONNPA© cannot be commercialized as it remains the intellectual property of its developers, who extend permission to use the ONNPA© for clinical application if attribution is given. As such, the ONNPA© can be used with permission by oncology nurse navigators (ONNs) who work independently in the community setting or who are employed by health systems.
